Zipguide Outdoor Blinds
5-Year Limited Warranty Terms
Zipguide Outdoor Blinds are covered by a warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase. During the first year, this warranty fully covers the cost of both parts and labor for any repairs associated with material or workmanship defects. After the initial year, the warranty continues to cover the cost of replacement parts, and a minimum service charge of RM200 per service trip is applicable for labor.
This warranty exclusively extends to repairs or replacements essential for restoring the Zipguide Outdoor Blind to its original working condition.
Under this warranty, Zipguide is committed to providing resolution for any defective parts or components. At our sole discretion, we will either repair or replace the problematic parts, ensuring your Zipguide Outdoor Blind continues to function as intended.
5-Year Limited Warranty Component Coverage Duration:
Remote Control: 1 Year
Motorized System: 2 Years
Fabric and Zipholder: 3 Years
Zipguide Aluminium Profile and Rolling Mechanism: 5 Years
Our warranty does not cover the following:
- Normal Wear and Tear: While Zipguide Outdoor Blinds are built to withstand everyday use, regular wear and tear is not covered.
- Improper Installation, Use, or Maintenance: Any damage resulting from installation, use, or maintenance not in accordance with Zipguide’s guidelines, or by an unauthorized party, is not covered. Please refer to the Zipguide Usage Tips: [https://www.smartcurtain.com.my/zipguide-usage-tips/].
- Acts of Nature: Damage caused by extreme natural events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, or strong winds, including those associated with La Niña, is beyond our control and not covered under this warranty.
- Insect or Pest Damage: Damage caused by insects or other pests is not covered under this warranty.
- Negligence or Abuse: We expect our customers to use our products with care and as intended. Damage caused by negligence or abuse is excluded.
- Power Surges or Electrical Disturbances: Damage resulting from sudden fluctuations or irregularities in electrical power is not covered under this warranty. This includes damage to the motor, which may experience premature wear or burnout due to voltage spikes or surges.
- Unauthorized Cleaning or Maintenance Products: Damage caused by the application of cleaning or maintenance substances not recommended by Zipguide is not covered. This includes, but is not limited to, acid-based cleaners, corrosion-inducing detergents, or any abrasive substances that could damage the Zipguide Outdoor Blind’s materials.
- Modifications to the Zipguide Outdoor Blind: Any damage arising from alterations or modifications made to the Zipguide Outdoor Blind’s structure or components is not included in this warranty.
For the first year following your Zipguide Outdoor Blind purchase, we provide complimentary service for your peace of mind. After this initial period, a Minimum Service Charge of RM200 per service trip, within city limits, will apply for any necessary repairs or maintenance. For outstation service, charges will be based on the distance from our service center.
The service charge includes the following:
- Labor to diagnose and repair the problem
- Replacement of defective parts or components which covered by warranty
- Transportation of the Zipguide Outdoor Blind to and from Zipguide’s service center, if required.
Service Charge Exclusions：
The service charge does not include the following:
- The cost of replacing the Zipguide Outdoor Blind if it is damaged beyond repair
- The cost of cleaning or maintaining the Zipguide Outdoor Blind
- The cost of any additional services, such as waterproofing
